Masters Program is winding down. After next quarter I only have 2 more classes. An independent study and the comprehensive exam (I am doing that instead of writing a thesis). Wow! I'll be able to put M.A after my name ^-^

Anyway, I am taking an independent study next quarter. I'm really excited because I designed the course myself and both the director of the program and the professor who will oversee the course both love the idea! The director even asked if I was sure I didn't want to write a thesis on it.  LOL!

The topic I will be researching is the Globalization of Japanese Animation and it's impact on Western Culture
I've already found and ordered  books for my research. I can't wait! I'm most likely going to focus on the history of Anime in the United States, the subculture that has formed (conventions, fans, cosplay) and its future.
